From June 17th through June 21st, enjoy the energy and excitement of the U.S. Open Championship at the fun and immersive "Open for All™" Fan Experience in South Lake Union Park!

Attendees will have the opportunity to view U.S. Open Championship action LIVE on the Jumbo-tron screen, purchase Official U.S. Open Merchandise, get their photo taken with the U.S. Open Championship Trophy, interact with experiential golf exhibits, and enjoy a variety of food and beverage from vendors in the region.

Admission is open, with free prizes available to all those who participate in the exhibits!

Follow the U.S. Open Championship Trophy - one of the most iconic in all of sport dating back to its origins in 1895 - as it makes its way across country in a 2015 Lexus LX to the site of the 115th U.S. Open Championship at Chambers Bay in University Place, Washington!

Regional Activities

Join the USGA as we celebrate the run-up to this year’s U.S. Open Championship at multiple iconic venues throughout the Pacific Northwest. Interactive fan experiences highlight the USGA’s commitment to STEM education, and underscore the importance of everyone finding time in their busy lives to get outdoors and play golf.

All interactive fan experiences run May 4th through June 15th. Free prizes are available, with an additional opportunity for participants to enter the #usopenforall sweepstakes and win 2 tickets to the final round of this year’s U.S. Open Championship!

"Learning Science through Golf / STEM Education"

Join the USGA as the game of golf goes on display - illustrating how it serves as an important platform for kids and learning. Multiple interactive stations offer children and adults alike the opportunity to see the game as a "mini-learning lab" where Science, Technology, Engineering and Math ("STEM") all help make golf more interesting ... to play and learn!

Highlighted Interactive Stations:
  • Science: Agronomy - How different types of turf retain water
  • Technology: Aerodynamics - What determines the flight of a golf ball?
  • Engineering: Friction & Spin - How motion affect’s the distance a golf ball will travel
  • Math: Volume & Displacement - How is the volume of a golf club determined?

"Epic Putt Challenge"

Take your chance at joining some of the game of golf's greats by "putting your way into U.S. Open Championship history"!

Historically, many of the more memorable U.S. Open Championships have been defined by epic moments occurring on the final green of play - #18. With an extra-long putting green in front of you, and nothing in your way except the burden of history, you’ll have your opportunity to hole one of the greatest putts in U.S. Open Championship history.

Free prizes are available, with an additional opportunity for participants to enter the #usopenforall sweepstakes and win 2 tickets to the final round of this year’s U.S. Open Championship!

From May 4th until June 15th, the U.S. Open Epic Putt Challenge will be only available to ticketed passengers in the Central Terminal (beyond the Security checkpoint) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

From June 17th until June 21st, the U.S. Open Epic Putt Challenge will be open for all as part of the "Open for All™" Fan Experience in South Lake Union Park.
